Renee Pounds - she was born in Houston, Texas. She has lived in six states and considers herself an adventurer. She has raised a grown daughter and is now a MiMi to three grandchildren. She has been teaching ELA for ten years and has led Women’s Ministry and Grief Ministry. She has been writing poetry since her teenage years and enjoys reading, writing, hiking, kayaking, and camping.

In My Lighthouse, she shares a collection of lights God has shone in her life with encouragement and insight into her personal testimonies from the experiences that led to writing this book. She shares the Word of God, which has guided her through reading scriptures that have led to a renewed strength and a joy that is indescribable.
